Electric fully welded ball valve - an intelligent and precise control solution with zero external leakage


Design concept

Integrate the maintenance-free and zero leakage features of the fully welded valve body with the precise control and intelligent diagnostic capabilities of the electric actuator. The valve body is made of forged steel or steel plates rolled and welded into a fully enclosed pressure-bearing shell, without valve body flanges or gaskets, physically eliminating the leakage path. The interior is supported by a fixed ball ear shaft, and the medium thrust is introduced into the valve body through the ear shaft. The electric actuator supports bus communication and remote diagnosis, achieving precise opening control and predictive maintenance. Core logic: By offering a fully welded structure in exchange for the commitment of zero leakage with the same lifespan as the pipeline, and through electric drive digitalization to achieve precise regulation and intelligent operation and maintenance, it provides maintenance-free automated components for key pipeline nodes that are remote, unattended, have no gas source, and require remote precise control.


Performance advantage

· Zero leakage valve body: Fully welded and enclosed structure, without valve body flange gasket, meeting the highest ISO 15848 low escape requirement, completely eliminating leakage.

· Precise opening control: When combined with variable frequency or stepper motors, extremely fine opening adjustment can be achieved, with a repeatability accuracy within ±0.5% of the stroke. It is suitable for process control and batch batching.

· Digital communication and intelligent diagnosis: Supports bus protocols such as Profibus, FF, HART, and Modbus, and can upload torque curves, action counts, and fault alarms to achieve predictive maintenance.

· Powerful thrust and self-locking position retention: The precise deceleration mechanism can output tens of thousands of Newton-meters of torque; The worm gear or brake motor has mechanical self-locking capability, and the valve can reliably maintain its position after power failure.

· Low operating torque: The fixed ball ear shaft is supported, and the medium thrust is carried by the ear bearing. The torque is only 1/3 to 1/5 of that of the floating ball of the same specification, which can be matched with smaller-sized electric heads, reducing the cost of complete set procurement.

· Bidirectional airtight grade seal: The downstream valve seat medium is self-tightened, and the upstream valve seat spring is pre-tightened, meeting the API 598 high-pressure gas seal zero bubble acceptance, and reliable bidirectional disconnection from low pressure to full pressure.

· Cavity pressure self-relief: The upstream valve seat automatically opens slightly, releasing the abnormal pressure rise caused by reheating in the middle cavity to the upstream pipeline without the need for an external safety valve, ensuring the safety of the fully welded and sealed cavity.

· Ultra-high structural rigidity: The integral valve body is forged and welded, and after welding, it undergoes stress relief annealing. Its rigidity and resistance to combined bending and tensile loads far exceed those of cast or bolt-assembled valve bodies, and it can be directly buried underground without the need for fixed supports.

· Full diameter and low flow resistance: The ball holes are the same as the inner diameter of the pipe, with nearly zero pressure loss, and can pass through the pigging device.

· The system is simple and independent: It only requires power supply and does not need auxiliary facilities such as air sources or hydraulic stations, making it suitable for remote unmanned sites.


Safety performance

· Fireproof structure: Primary non-metallic seal + secondary graphite/metal seal, certified by API 607/6FA, maintaining effective shut-off in case of fire.

· Anti-blowout valve stem: The reverse sealing step design complies with API 608, and the valve stem will not be blown out even when the cover is completely loosened.

· Anti-static conduction: The resistance of the ball - valve stem - valve body is ≤10Ω.

· Cavity pressure self-relief protection: The upstream valve seat automatically relieves pressure to prevent the fully welded sealed cavity from deforming or bursting due to pressure build-up.

· Zero leakage commitment: No valve body connection parts, zero leakage of the body, and lifetime maintenance-free.

· Overload protection: Torque switch or electronic torque limit to prevent overload damage to valves and actuators.

· Power-off position retention: The standard type ensures reliable position retention of the valve after power-off. An optional spring return module is available for emergency shut-off in case of power failure, and it is only applicable to medium and small diameters.

· Heating and dehumidification: The actuator is equipped with an internal heater to prevent electrical faults caused by condensation water.

· Emergency sealing grease injection: The valve seat is reserved with a grease injection port. When the sealing surface fails, grease can be injected online to establish a temporary seal as the last remedial measure before scrapping.
