Pneumatic fully welded ball valve
Design concept
Integrate the zero leakage and maintenance-free features of the fully welded valve body with the fail-safe quick-action capability of the pneumatic actuator into one. The valve body is made of forged steel or steel plates rolled and welded as a whole, without any valve body flanges or gaskets. The actuator is standard-equipped with a single-acting spring return function, which automatically shuts off when gas or power is cut off. Design logic: With a fully welded structure, it physically eliminates leakage and uses pneumatic spring reset to achieve intrinsically safe emergency shut-off, providing an excellent maintenance-free solution for ESD nodes of buried, underwater, and extremely cold pipelines that are inaccessible.
Performance advantage
Zero leakage valve body: Fully welded and closed structure, no valve body connection parts, meeting ISO 15848 grade, eliminating external leakage of the valve body.
Fail-safe reset: Single-acting cylinder spring reset, automatically returns to a safe position when gas is lost or power is cut off, naturally meeting the ESD emergency cut-off requirements.
Rapid opening and closing: The full stroke time can reach the 1-second level, making it the preferred drive for emergency quick-closing conditions.
Intrinsic explosion-proof safety: Powered by compressed air, with no electrical sparks, it is directly applicable to explosion-proof areas in petrochemicals.
Extremely low operating torque: The internal structure is a fixed ball ear shaft support structure. The medium thrust is carried by the ear bearing. The actuator is small in size and low in cost.
Bidirectional zero leakage: Meets API 598 zero bubble acceptance, fixed ball bidirectional spring pre-tightening + medium self-tightening, reliable off throughout the full pressure range.
Cavity pressure self-relief: The upstream valve seat automatically releases the abnormal pressure rise in the middle cavity to the upstream, ensuring the safety of the fully welded and sealed cavity.
High structural rigidity: The forged and welded integral valve body can withstand the combined bending and tensile loads of the pipeline and can be directly buried underground without the need for fixed supports.
Safety performance
Fail-safe: Spring return actuator, the valve automatically closes/opens when the gas source/power supply is interrupted, meeting the SIL 2/3 loop requirements.
Fireproof structure: Primary non-metallic seal + secondary metallic seal, API 607/6FA certified.
Anti-blowout valve stem: Reverse sealing step, meeting API 608, the valve stem will not be blown out when the cover loosens.
Anti-static conduction: The resistance of the ball - valve stem - valve body is ≤10Ω.
Cavity pressure self-relief protection: Built-in self-relief valve seat to prevent pressure build-up in the fully welded sealed cavity.
Fully welded with zero leakage: No valve body flange gasket, zero leakage of the body, and maintenance-free for life.
Emergency sealing grease injection: A grease injection port is reserved for the valve seat, and sealing grease is injected online as a remedial measure before scrapping.
