Fully welded electric ball valve


Design concept

Integrate the zero leakage feature of the fully welded valve body with the intelligent electric actuator technology. The valve body is integrally welded and sealed with forged steel or steel pipes, structurally eliminating the leakage points of the valve body flange and gasket. The interior is supported by a fixed ball ear shaft to achieve bidirectional forced sealing with low torque.


Performance advantage

· Zero leakage valve body: Fully welded closed valve body, without any middle flange or valve cover flange gasket, meeting ISO 15848 dissipation grade, eliminating mechanical connection leakage caused by temperature fluctuations or pipeline stress.

· Bidirectional zero leakage seal: Fixed ball ear shaft support, downstream valve seat self-tightening by medium pressure, upstream valve seat pre-tightening compensation by spring, API 598 zero bubble acceptance, bidirectional reliable shutdown within the full pressure difference range, no fear of reverse flow.

· Self-relief of cavity pressure without external attachment: The upstream valve seat has an automatic relief function to the upstream. Abnormal pressure rise in the middle cavity can be released by itself without the need for an external safety valve, ensuring the structural safety of the fully welded and sealed cavity.

· Extremely low operating torque and energy consumption: The medium thrust is carried by the fixed ball ear bearing, and the operating torque is only 1/3 to 1/5 of that of the floating ball valve of the same specification. It can be matched with smaller models of electric actuators, reducing power consumption and operating costs, and extending the service life of the electrical equipment.

· Intelligent control and online diagnosis: The electric actuator integrates sensors for valve position, torque, operation frequency, etc., supports buses such as Modbus/Profibus and IoT gateways, and provides real-time feedback on the health status of the valve, achieving predictive maintenance and safety logic such as position retention after disconnection and emergency shut-off.

· Valve well direct burial installation: After welding, the overall structure has no external leakage path and can be directly buried underground. Only the electric actuator and the extended valve stem are exposed above the ground or placed in a small ground box, significantly reducing the civil construction and maintenance costs of the valve well.


Safety performance

· Fireproof structure: Primary non-metallic seal + secondary metal hard seal, in compliance with API 607/6FA. Even after the soft seal is burned out in a fire, it can still maintain effective metal disconnection.

· Anti-blowout valve stem: The valve stem adopts an inverted seal step structure design, meeting the requirements of API 608. Even if the electric actuator and the cover are completely removed, the valve stem will not be blown out by the medium pressure.

· Long-lasting valve stem seal: The extended valve cover, in combination with the live load disc spring packing group, keeps the packing box temperature above the freezing point in cryogenic conditions and effectively dissipates heat in high-temperature conditions, ensuring that the packing area is always within a reliable working range, preventing freezing cracking and dissipation.

· Anti-static conduction: A conductive spring or anti-static key is set between the ball, valve stem and valve body, with a resistance of ≤10Ω, ensuring operational safety.

· Dual overpressure protection in the middle cavity: Built-in upstream self-relief valve seat as the first line of protection; An external discharge interface for the middle cavity can be reserved as required to form a second controllable pressure relief channel.

· Welding integrity: All pressure-bearing welds undergo 100% radiographic or ultrasonic testing. The entire weld undergoes post-weld heat treatment to relieve stress, and the joint is of equal strength and toughness to the base metal.

· Intelligent electric safety protection: The electric actuator is equipped with built-in functions for torque overload, motor overheating, power phase loss/reverse phase, and automatic position retention upon power failure. Spring reset fault safety mode can be selected. The entire device has SIL 2/3 functional safety capabilities and Ex explosion-proof certification.
